How We Help

We raise funds and allocate them as grants to registered charities that deliver expert support to emergency service personnel.

Our Grant-Giving Model

Red v Blue does not provide support directly to individuals. Instead, we raise funds through the Red v Blue challenge and allocate them to selected registered charities supporting emergency service personnel and their families.

We raise it. Our partner charities deliver it.

Your donations fund grants to registered charities and charitable organisations that specialise in supporting emergency service personnel. This ensures your contributions are used effectively by organisations with the expertise and infrastructure to deliver meaningful help.

Areas Our Partner Charities Cover

The types of support our grants help fund through partner charities

Mental Health Support

Our partner charities provide counselling, therapy, and mental health services for emergency service personnel experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

Rehabilitation Services

Partner charities deliver physical and occupational rehabilitation for personnel recovering from injuries sustained in the line of duty.

Financial Hardship Relief

Partner charities offer emergency financial assistance to personnel and families facing unexpected hardship or financial difficulties.

Welfare Advice

Partner charities connect personnel with professional welfare advisors to help navigate benefits, legal matters, and support services.

Bereavement Assistance

Partner charities support families who have lost loved ones in service — providing counselling, practical assistance, and compassionate care.

Family Support

Recognising that service affects entire families, our partner charities run programmes supporting partners, children, and dependents of emergency personnel.

Our Grant Process

How we ensure donations reach the right charities

1

Funds Collected

Donations from Red v Blue participants are securely collected and pooled throughout the year.

2

Charity Selection

Trustees select one registered charity per emergency service (Police, Fire, Ambulance, NHS) based on alignment with our mission.

3

Annual Grant Allocation

Grants are allocated annually — either split equally between partner charities or directed based on identified need, as decided by trustees.

4

Transparency & Reporting

We publish which charities were selected and how much each received, so donors always know where their money went.
